WU Advanced Forum Is Live: A New Space to Share and Learn

As we promised when we launched WU Advanced a few weeks ago, we’re happy to unveil our new forum, exclusively for WU Advanced members.
To echo what I shared earlier: internally, a forum has been discussed since the early days of WealthUmbrella. I’ve personally resisted it until now—mainly because, from what I’ve heard, forums can easily turn into time-consuming monsters. Investing is an emotional game: it can bring euphoric highs and brutal (but temporary!) lows. These swings often show up in comment sections, and I’ve worried I’d end up spending too much time moderating emotions instead of doing what I do best—crunching numbers. I’ve also found that being exposed to others’ emotions during market pullbacks—precisely when focus matters most—is one of the worst things an investor can do. In those moments, the bears always get the loudest voice, as price action appears to validate their stance. For me, that can distort the actual picture. I’m part of a small private circle of seasoned investors, and even there, I mute everything during a downturn.
Also, when I share market updates, I know I don’t cover everything—but I believe the comment sections already offer a good place for filling in the gaps I miss. Plus, I get a lot of emails asking for financial advice—questions that I legally can’t answer, and that I know would inevitably spill into a forum environment.
That said, my perspective is different when it comes to WU Advanced. This offering is designed for our more seasoned members, and it has a different nature—one that’s more exploratory, diversified, and less centered around me as the “main voice.” In that context, I think having a space where we can share discoveries, results, experiments, and insights can be incredibly enriching for all of us. In my usual role here, I’m the Panda University professor delivering the lecture—but the truth is, I know many of you have things we could learn from. And I don’t say that lightly—there have been multiple occasions where I’ve learned directly from members of this community.
Personally, I’m already feeling the urge to share some of the great strategy configurations I’ve uncovered with TuneMap—and I know some of you will want to do the same. Whether you’ve used our signals in creative ways, discovered new setups, or even built your own indicators, this will be the place to exchange that kind of knowledge. I imagine that’s the kind of post I’ll make on the forum—but I hope to see it animated by you, not just by me. And I’m genuinely looking forward to it.
It took us a bit more time than expected, as we wanted to fully integrate the forum into our own platform—so you wouldn’t have to leave the WealthUmbrella environment or manage a separate login. While this may come at the cost of a fewer advanced features compared to the most sophisticated forum platforms, all the essentials are there. Below, you’ll find a quick walkthrough on how it works, including how to change your username and other basic settings.
You can access it in our DataHub by clicking here:

Looking forward to reading your posts.
Forum Walkthrough
Our forum is organized into three levels: Forums → Topics → Posts. Forums are created by the WU Team to group related topics together. We are starting with the following forums: Trade Strategies, Investment Ideas, Quant Space and General. This is just the start, we are open to add/remove/modify those based on the direction the discussions will go.

Inside each forum, you can create a Topic to share an idea, ask a question, or start a discussion with the community. Within each Topic, members can write Posts to reply, share insights, or continue the conversation. This structure keeps discussions organized and easy to follow, so you can quickly find and contribute to the topics that matter to you. To find new posts, you can click on the view unread topics button in the home page. You can also subscribe to topics which groups them in the Subscriptions page that can be found at the top of the home page. To subscribe to a topic, simply click on subscribe inside the topic page.

Another way to find unread posts is by looking at the color of the circles beside the forum and topic title. If the circle is WU purple instead of light blue, it means that there are unread posts inside.

Posting is simple and flexible. When writing, you can format your text to highlight key points, add headings, or create lists for clarity. It is also possible to add images to support your ideas visually. To do so, simply click the file icon in the editor to upload a picture where your cursor is located. It is also possible to drag and drop a file directly in the editor.

Before posting, take a moment to organize your thoughts: clear, well-structured posts not only help you communicate better but also invite others to join the discussion in a meaningful way. We encourage you to use formatting and visuals to make your posts stand out and spark valuable conversations.
Finally, to help everyone connect more easily, you can personalize your profile by setting up a Display Name and uploading an avatar. By default, your email will be used as a display name. If that’s okay to you there is nothing to do. If not, you can rest assured that it is not visible to anyone as long as you haven’t posted anything yet. Just make sure you have changed your Display Name before your first interaction and your email will remain private. To update these settings, simply visit the Edit Profile page that is accessible by clicking the profile icon located on the top right inside the navigation bar and clicking the Edit Profile button.

You can than change your display name by clicking change. You can also upload an avatar as well as setup a signature for your posts by clicking submit once the field are completed.

I guess that concludes this quick tour of our brand new forum. We're eager to see and participate in the discussions that will take place inside of it. As per usual, please do not hesitate to reach out to request features, report bugs or if you have any questions. You can do so at this email address: dev@thewealthumbrella.com .
